L&T Wins Significant Order for Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road Project

Mumbai, December 29: The transportation infrastructure business of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a significant order for the construction of Phase-2 of the Hyderabad Greenfield Radial Road, strengthening its footprint in large urban connectivity projects.
The project involves the development of a 22.3-km, 3+3 lane access-controlled radial road in Ranga Reddy district, designed to enhance regional mobility and decongest traffic corridors around Hyderabad.
Scope of work
Under the contract, L&T will undertake the construction of a 3.6-km-long viaduct, along with minor bridges, underpasses and culverts. The scope also includes service roads on both sides, extensive retention structures, a stormwater drainage system, footpaths, a dedicated cycle track and comprehensive landscaping works.
Strategic connectivity boost
This project is the first of several planned radial roads that will link Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road with the upcoming Regional Ring Road. Once completed, the corridor is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity and support urban expansion, providing improved access to major IT hubs, Electronic City, Young India Skills University and the proposed Bharat Future City.
Order classification
As per L&T’s internal project classification, the order falls under the ‘Significant’ category, which covers contracts valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.
