Hyderabad, September 4: Fernandez Hospital has launched the Fernandez Baby Spa, India’s first baby spa within a hospital setting, at its Stork Home in Banjara Hills. The facility was inaugurated by Hyderabad District Collector Hari Chandana, who has a long association with the hospital.

The Baby Spa, designed for infants aged 6 weeks to 9 months, offers hydrotherapy, infant massage, sensory stimulation, and parental bonding experiences — all under expert supervision. Paediatric check-ups before each session, UV-sterilised RO-filtered water, and certified physiotherapists ensure a safe and evidence-based approach.

Speaking at the launch, District Collector Hari Chandana said, “The Fernandez Baby Spa is a unique initiative combining science, innovation, and compassion. It not only supports infants and parents in building healthy bonds but also has the potential to strengthen our public health ecosystem. I hope this model inspires similar initiatives across the state.”

Highlighting the hospital’s vision, Dr Evita Fernandez, Chairperson and MD of Fernandez Foundation, noted, “This marks a new chapter for us in bringing early infant development and emotional well-being into the heart of clinical care. We want a baby’s earliest memories to be filled with warmth, laughter, and play — and that’s what the Baby Spa aims to provide.”Hyderabad Collector Hari Chandana takes a look at the facilities along with Dr Evita Fernandez, Chairperson and MD, Fernandez Foundation, at the newly inaugurated Baby Spa at Fernandez Stork Home, Banjara Hills, on Thursday.
