ESET Launches Cybersecurity Awareness Training in India to Combat Rising Threats

New Delhi, August 14: Global cybersecurity firm ESET has rolled out its Cybersecurity Awareness Training program in India, aiming to tackle one of the leading causes of data breaches — human error. The online platform offers interactive learning, phishing simulations, and compliance-focused reporting to help businesses strengthen their cyber resilience.
The launch comes amid alarming figures: India lost ₹23,000 crore to cybercrime in 2024, a 206% jump from ₹7,500 crore in 2023. ESET says 68% of breaches involve human factors such as social engineering or mistakes, making employee awareness the first line of defence.
“At ESET, we believe that building a cyber-resilient organisation starts with well-informed employees,” said Parvinder Walia, President for Asia Pacific at ESET. “Our training is designed to change behaviour through interactive content, gamification, and real-world cybersecurity insights, equipping staff at every level to stay secure.”
Key features include a phishing simulator with hundreds of prebuilt templates, real-time dashboards for tracking progress, and seamless integration with systems like LMS, SSO, CRMs, and HR platforms. The program supports regulatory compliance for standards including GDPR, PCI DSS, NIS2, and India-specific requirements.
The training also minimises IT administration by offering deep integrations and API-based deployment, allowing companies to run tailored campaigns and monitor results through an intuitive dashboard. ESET says the initiative is part of its prevention-first strategy, focusing on reducing attack surfaces and simplifying cyber defence.
