Hyderabad: CDK Global, an automotive retail software provider, organised its annual employee engagement event ‘Convergence 2026’ in Hyderabad and Pune, bringing together employees and their families to celebrate workplace culture and Indian familial values.
The event, themed “Going Back to Our Indian Roots,” focused on celebrating the richness of Indian traditions, cultural diversity and the role of families in shaping professional journeys.
Focus on people-first workplace culture
The event reflects CDK Global’s emphasis on a people-first organisational culture, where employee well-being and family support are seen as integral to business success.
The company has been consistently recognised as a Great Place to Work-certified organisation in India since 2019, and was also listed among the Top 100 IT & ITES Workplaces in India for 2025, underscoring its sustained focus on employee engagement and workplace satisfaction.
Cultural performances and employee engagement
Convergence 2026 featured a range of culturally inspired activities, including traditional dance performances, vocal acts, a themed fashion walk and interactive sessions involving employees and their families.
Participants were encouraged to embrace Indian traditions through ethnic attire and themed décor, creating an immersive cultural experience.
A dedicated children’s zone with activities such as pottery, games and competitions was also organised, reinforcing the event’s family-centric approach.
Recognition of employee contributions
The event included a rewards and recognition segment, where employees across roles and teams were honoured for their contributions, reflecting the company’s focus on acknowledging performance and reinforcing organisational values.
Sandeep Kumar Jain, managing director, CDK India, said the initiative underscores the importance of family support in professional success.
“Family Day is a reminder that our success extends beyond the workplace. Families are the true catalysts in our journey — their support and encouragement empower us to strive for excellence every day,” he said.
Ashish Saxena, senior director and head of human resources at CDK India, said the event reflects the company’s inclusive culture.
“This is who we are at our core — a community that grows stronger when we stand together as one family. Through Convergence, we celebrate the values that bind us — respect, gratitude and togetherness,” he said.
Strengthening organisational identity
Industry observers note that such employee engagement initiatives are increasingly becoming central to talent retention and employer branding in the technology sector.
By integrating cultural values with workplace engagement, companies are seeking to build stronger emotional connections with employees and their families.
