According to an institute release on Saturday, the event featured the presentation of the Best Researcher Award 2025, recognition of employees completing 10 and 20 years of service, and the release of the Annual Activity Report 2025–26.
BIMTECH Director Prabina Rajib said the occasion offered an opportunity to reflect on the institute’s progress and its responsibilities. She emphasised learning beyond the classroom, critical thinking, integrity and the contributions of students, faculty, alumni and the wider community.
Chief guest and Padma Shri awardee Bharat Bhushan Tyagi of Chetna Vikas Swarajya Trust highlighted the role of education in developing ethical leadership, social responsibility and harmony with nature.

Integrating management, technology and agricultural knowledge could help young people build enterprises that strengthen rural economies and generate livelihoods, he added.
Tyagi also encouraged the development of an ecosystem connecting education, agriculture and entrepreneurship to support a circular economy.
