Mumbai: Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC has launched the Apex Hybrid Long-Short Fund, its first investment strategy under the newly introduced Specialized Investment Funds (SIF) framework, aimed at investors seeking advanced portfolio strategies with improved risk management.
The new fund offer (NFO) opened for subscription on March 6 and will remain available until March 18. The strategy requires a minimum investment of ₹10 lakh and is positioned between traditional mutual funds and higher-ticket investment offerings such as portfolio management services and alternative investment funds.
The fund will combine equity, debt and derivatives to pursue superior risk-adjusted returns across market cycles. Using a long-short strategy, it aims to hedge downside risks and navigate market volatility more effectively than traditional long-only funds while also capturing tactical opportunities arising from corporate actions and special situations.

He noted that the fund is positioned between balanced advantage funds and equity savings schemes and is designed for investors looking for a flexible and risk-aware approach across market cycles.
