One-year internship opportunities at IBBI announced for select students
Gurugram, January 6: Ravi Mittal, Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India, on Monday launched the PGIP programme website of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, reaffirming institutional support for students and announcing plans to offer one-year internship opportunities at IBBI for a select group of PGIP participants.
Addressing students at the IICA campus, Mittal said efforts would be made to strengthen industry and regulatory exposure for PGIP scholars. He also informed students interested in research that they could apply to an upcoming IBBI research programme, under which selected candidates would have an opportunity to be on the rolls of the insolvency regulator.
Focus on capacity building and alumni engagement
The welcome address was delivered by Gyaneshwar Kumar Singh, Director General and CEO, IICA, who highlighted the institute’s focus on capacity building, academic excellence and close engagement with regulators and industry to prepare future-ready professionals.
Sudhaker Shukla, head of department, Centre for Insolvency and Bankruptcy at IICA, presented an overview of the activities and achievements of the PGIP centre, underlining its academic rigour, industry interface and the steady growth of its alumni network.
The newly launched website is a dedicated digital platform aimed at connecting PGIP alumni with current students. It is designed to enable continuous interaction, knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving, while also enhancing industry exposure for students through structured alumni engagement.
Students welcome initiative
During an interactive session, students expressed appreciation for IICA’s support ecosystem, citing opportunities to participate in conclaves, seminars and sustained interactions with industry experts. They said these engagements have significantly enriched both their academic learning and professional preparedness.
