Godrej Jersey signs MoU for ₹150 crore dairy processing facility at Telangana Rising Global Summit
Hyderabad/Mumbai, December 10: Creamline Dairy Products Limited, a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet and the company behind the Godrej Jersey brand, signed an MoU with the government of Telangana at the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025. The company will invest ₹150 crore to establish a state-of-the-art dairy processing facility across 40 acres. With this, the Godrej Industries Group’s total planned investments in the state have crossed ₹10,000 crore across multiple businesses.
Industry studies show that nearly 73 percent of Indians consume less than the recommended daily protein intake. With dairy products forming one of the most accessible natural protein sources, the company said the new facility will strengthen Telangana’s dairy ecosystem and support evolving nutritional needs through value-added offerings.
The MoU was signed in the presence of chief minister A. Revanth Reddy; Sanjay Kumar, special chief secretary, industries & commerce, IT and electronics; Pirojsha Godrej, executive vice chairperson, Godrej Industries Group; Anand Ramaswamy, COO, Godrej Jersey; and Rakesh Swami, group president – corporate affairs, Godrej Industries Group.
Revanth Reddy said the state aims to build an investor-friendly environment that enables inclusive growth. “Our partnership with Godrej Industries Group will generate employment, strengthen our agro and industrial base, and position Telangana as a leading investment destination,” he said.
Pirojsha Godrej said the agreement reflects a shared vision to accelerate growth through a collaborative public–private approach. “From sustainable oil palm cultivation to urban housing, dairy expansion and digital-first MSME solutions, our partnership with the government of Telangana is aimed at shaping an inclusive, innovative and resilient future,” he said.
In 2023, Godrej Agrovet announced about ₹300 crore to set up an integrated oil palm complex in Khammam district. The facility, which includes a crude palm oil mill and an R&D centre, is scheduled to open next year, with a provision for a future refinery.
Godrej Properties also entered the Hyderabad market earlier this year, citing strong demand for quality infrastructure and premium residential spaces. The company plans to invest ₹10,000 crore across four projects in the city.
Consumer demand for value-added dairy products is rising in Telangana, driven by urban lifestyles, health consciousness and convenience, said Sunil Kataria, CEO and managing director, Godrej Agrovet. “Our MoU is a step towards building a facility that will manufacture innovative, protein-rich dairy products while generating employment opportunities,” he said.
The upcoming project is expected to create more than 300 direct jobs over the next three years.
Rakesh Swami said Telangana remains one of India’s most progressive and business-forward states. “Our partnership reflects the group’s commitment to empowering MSMEs, supporting women entrepreneurs, strengthening the agricultural ecosystem and developing high-quality homes for citizens,” he said.
