SAP Opens Up Learning Hub for Free in India, Boosting Skill India Mission and Creating Pathways to Digital Careers
SAP expects thousands of Indian students to earn certifications annually under this initiative, eventually helping shape a young, digitally empowered workforce capable of strengthening India's competitiveness in the global economy.
New Delhi, December 4: In a major push to India’s digital skilling ecosystem, SAP has announced free access to the SAP Learning Hub, student edition, for learners across the country. The move reinforces SAP’s commitment to the government’s Skill India mission and is expected to significantly accelerate the creation of industry-ready talent in high-demand technology domains.
SAP Learning Hub, a globally recognized subscription-based digital learning platform, offers a mix of guided and self-paced training modules on SAP technologies. By making the student edition free for Indian learners, SAP aims to remove financial barriers and bridge the persistent industry–academia gap in digital skills.
The launch comes at a time when businesses across sectors are fast-tracking digital transformation, leading to a surge in demand for SAP-certified professionals. SAP said the initiative will benefit students not only in major metros but also in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, enabling them to access structured learning journeys and certification pathways from anywhere in the country.
Tine Vandenbreeden, Global VP, SIX Partner Solution Enablement, SAP, said the democratization of digital skilling will be pivotal to India’s growth story. “Digital skilling is central to India’s future growth story. Democratizing access to SAP Learning Hub will ensure that India’s youth can spearhead the digital revolution, by providing students with the skills that multinational corporations actively seek,” she said.
The program offers free, renewable 12-month access to the student edition of SAP Learning Hub, real-world case studies, live systems for hands-on practice, expert-led sessions, interactive Q&A, and access to a global community of learners. Students will also receive two free attempts at globally recognized certification exams.
SAP emphasized that the initiative is stream-agnostic, catering to students from finance, HR, supply chain, data analytics, marketing, engineering and IT, among others. Certifications earned through the platform can boost employability by demonstrating job readiness and proficiency in enterprise technology systems widely used in global businesses.
The expanded access is also expected to fuel innovation and entrepreneurship. Students familiar with SAP technologies may support local businesses in digital adoption, contribute to problem-solving in their communities, or build new solutions capitalizing on enterprise software ecosystems.
