Eli Lilly Launches Hyderabad Innovation Hub to Drive Global Digital Healthcare Transformation

Hyderabad, August 4: Global pharmaceutical leader Eli Lilly and Company (India) has expanded its presence in India with the inauguration of a cutting-edge technology and innovation center in Hyderabad, aiming to strengthen its digital backbone and accelerate healthcare solutions worldwide.
The newly opened facility in Gachibowli spans 220,000 square feet across four floors at the Phoenix Equinox building, and will focus on artificial intelligence, automation, cloud computing, and software product engineering to enhance efficiencies across Lilly’s global operations. The site already houses 100 professionals, with plans to ramp up to 1,500 employees over the next few years.
The Hyderabad centre was inaugurated by Diogo Rau, Executive Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer of Eli Lilly and Company, in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, and Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed Lilly’s investment, calling it a major boost to the state’s thriving life sciences and digital innovation ecosystem.
“This reinforces Hyderabad’s status as a global hub for healthcare innovation, built on scientific excellence, skilled talent, and international collaboration,” he said.
Minister Sridhar Babu added that the project reflects the transformative role of technology in healthcare, highlighting Telangana’s commitment to fostering partnerships that drive economic growth and digital health solutions.

Speaking at the inauguration, Diogo Rau emphasized the long-term strategic importance of the new site:
