BHIM Payments App introduces MyUPI for UPI support, mandate management and safety controls
The AI-powered MyUPI assistant enables BHIM users to view transactions, raise complaints, manage Autopay mandates, verify payees and activate safety controls through a multilingual interface.
Launched at Global Fintech Fest 2026, MyUPI brings transaction assistance, complaint management, mandate controls and fraud-awareness support into a single interface.

MUMBAI: NPCI BHIM Services Limited (NBSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has introduced MyUPI, a conversational AI-powered assistant on the BHIM Payments App to provide round-the-clock support for UPI-related services.
Launched at Global Fintech Fest 2026, MyUPI brings transaction assistance, complaint management, mandate controls and fraud-awareness support into a single interface. The service currently supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali, with additional regional languages planned.
Users can access MyUPI under Quick Actions in the BHIM Payments App. While the assistant enables users to seek information and take relevant actions through conversational interactions, payment-related actions continue to require authentication through the user’s UPI PIN.
Transaction and complaint support
MyUPI allows users to view UPI transactions across linked bank accounts and UPI apps and seek assistance on individual payments. Users can also raise eligible payment-related complaints, receive a complaint reference number and track their status within the app.
The Transaction Replay feature allows eligible earlier UPI payments to be re-initiated from transaction history, including eligible payments originally made through another UPI app. The facility covers both person-to-person and person-to-merchant payments and requires fresh authorisation through the UPI PIN.
Managing mandates and payments
MyUPI provides a consolidated view of recurring UPI Autopay payments and relevant mandate details across linked accounts and applications. Depending on the mandate, users can pause, resume or cancel recurring payments.
The assistant can also help users identify the relevant mandate when a debit is made without a UPI PIN prompt and understand the purpose of the transaction.
New safety controls
The Pay Safe feature allows users to enter a UPI ID or upload a QR code to verify the payee name before making a payment.
MyUPI also introduces a Safety Switch for situations such as a suspected account compromise, lost phone, unexpected debit or suspicious message. Users can block a linked bank account through the feature to prevent further transactions on that account.
Users who do not want to receive payments through their mobile number can also de-link their UPI Number while continuing to receive payments through their UPI ID, as applicable.
A conversational fraud-awareness feature provides information about suspected scam messages and commonly reported UPI fraud methods.
Lalitha Nataraj, Managing Director and CEO, NPCI BHIM Services Limited, said MyUPI strengthens the BHIM Payments App with a trust layer that enables users to seek information, resolve concerns and take timely action. She said the conversational and multilingual interface is intended to make digital payments easier to use and more inclusive.
NBSL was incorporated in 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of NPCI to support the adoption of digital payments through the BHIM platform and provide payment services to individuals and businesses across India.
