Pidilite-trained candidates to represent India at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026
Prakash Suthar and Pankaj Jangra have qualified for the global skills competition after training at Pidilite’s advanced skills centre and performing strongly at IndiaSkills 2026.

MUMBAI: Two candidates trained at the Pidilite Woodworking and Plumbing Centre for Advanced Skills (PWP) are set to represent India at the WorldSkills International Competition 2026 in Shanghai following their performances at the IndiaSkills 2026 National Competition.
Prakash Suthar and Pankaj Jangra will compete at the 48th WorldSkills Competition, scheduled to be held from September 22 to 27 in Shanghai, China.
The global competition is expected to bring together more than 1,400 young skilled professionals from over 70 countries and regions across 64 skill categories.
Industry-aligned skills training
The two candidates received training at PWP, established by Pidilite Industries in partnership with Kaushalya – The Skill University, Ahmedabad.
The centre focuses on advanced, hands-on training in woodworking and plumbing, with an emphasis on connecting traditional craftsmanship with evolving industry requirements.
Pidilite Managing Director Sudhanshu Vats said the achievement demonstrated the potential of focused, industry-aligned training and highlighted the role of industry in strengthening India’s skills ecosystem.
He said the company was supporting the candidates as they prepare to showcase their skills and craftsmanship at the international competition.
Building a future-ready workforce
Pidilite said its continued investment in skill development is aimed at strengthening capabilities across the woodworking and plumbing ecosystems while creating opportunities for skilled professionals to participate in national and international competitions.
The PWP initiative combines practical training with exposure to global standards and competitive platforms. The company said the approach is intended to support professional excellence and contribute to developing a future-ready, industry-aligned workforce.
The candidates’ participation at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 will provide them an international platform to demonstrate their skills alongside young professionals from across the world.
