MUMBAI: Taj has highlighted its Cinema Suite and Jaguar Suite at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate Suites and Residences in London, alongside a promotional package offering savings and additional benefits for guests.
In a release dated October 5, the company said the property combines residential-style accommodation with themed interiors in a historic residence once home to courtiers of Buckingham Palace.
Designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the Cinema Suite draws inspiration from Hollywood and Indian cinema through vintage collectibles, film memorabilia and curated interiors. Its study, living spaces and bedrooms reference filmmakers and actors including Satyajit Ray, Guru Dutt, Ingmar Bergman, Wong Kar-Wai, Rita Hayworth and Marilyn Monroe. The suite also features a library of more than 300 films.
The Jaguar Suite, developed through a collaboration between Taj and Jaguar, was designed by former Jaguar design director Ian Callum. It incorporates automotive-inspired artwork and materials associated with Jaguar cars, including leather, metal and high-gloss veneer.
Design features include a clean-fuel fireplace inspired by Jaguar’s rear-window styling, ebony veneer doors, custom wallpaper and automotive collector’s items.
The property’s “Suite Surprises” offer includes savings of up to 25%, daily breakfast, airport transfers, lounge access and early check-in, according to the release. Booking dates and detailed eligibility conditions were not specified.
