L&T secures ₹10000–15000 crore power transmission orders in India and Gulf
Projects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Visakhapatnam cover transmission lines, substations and cabling, supporting grid expansion and the integration of renewable energy into power networks.
L&T said the projects would strengthen transmission infrastructure and support the transfer of renewable power to the grid. It did not disclose individual contract values or identify the clients.

MUMBAI: Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured multiple engineering, procurement and construction orders in India and overseas, classified by the company in the ₹10,000–15,000 crore “mega” category.
Announcing the contracts on Monday, October 5, L&T said the projects would strengthen transmission infrastructure and support the transfer of renewable power to the grid. It did not disclose individual contract values or identify the clients.
In Saudi Arabia, the company won orders covering 380 kV transmission and substations. These projects are intended to expand transmission capacity and facilitate renewable energy integration.
In the United Arab Emirates, L&T secured a contract to construct 132/11 kV substations and undertake associated cabling works.
The Indian order, awarded by a private-sector developer, involves setting up a transmission system comprising transmission lines and substations in Visakhapatnam.
Joji Sebastian, executive vice-president and head of L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution business, said the contracts reflected demand for grid strengthening, renewable energy integration and associated infrastructure across markets.
The business provides services spanning the design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of transmission lines, substations, underground cables and distribution networks.
