NEW DELHI: Hinduja Tech, an Ashok Leyland subsidiary providing engineering and digital technology services for the mobility industry, has appointed Faiz Ahmad as chief executive officer, effective November 1, 2026.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the company said its board had approved the appointment as part of a planned leadership transition. Current CEO Kumar Prabhas will retire from the role on October 31 after nine years at the helm.

Ahmad currently serves as chief operating officer and head of vehicle engineering and development. He has been associated with the broader Hinduja Group for nearly two decades, with experience in engineering, mobility and technology-led business transformation.

The company said Ahmad and Prabhas would work together throughout October to facilitate the handover.

During Prabhas’s tenure, Hinduja Tech expanded its international operations and service offerings and acquired DSD and Tecosim, broadening its engineering capabilities and global presence, according to the statement.

Dheeraj G. Hinduja credited Prabhas with strengthening the company’s foundations and said Ahmad would lead its next phase of growth, with a focus on customer relationships and innovation.

Ahmad said his priorities would include building on the company’s existing capabilities, working with employees and customers, and delivering sustainable value for stakeholders.

Hinduja Tech provides product engineering and digital technology services to automotive manufacturers, suppliers and emerging mobility companies across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and India.
