New Delhi, September 18: Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday launched a bouquet of special programmes on DD National and DD News to mark the ongoing Seva Parv celebrations, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s lifelong commitment to nation-building and the ethos of Karmayog.
Addressing the event in New Delhi, Vaishnaw said the documentaries produced by Doordarshan and Prasar Bharati reflect the Prime Minister’s “relentless devotion to serving the nation and society, setting aside personal interests.” He added that India has seen transformational progress in the past 11 years, achieving in a decade what earlier took several decades, with visible development even in the remotest villages.
The event also marked the release of a new documentary series, “Mera Gaon Aaj”, capturing the story of rural transformation across 75 villages, alongside three national-level documentaries — Sankalp Ki Shakti, Sushasan Ka Samarthya, Vishwa Patal par Netritva ka Shankhnaad, and Karmyog – Ek Antheen Yatra. In addition, a two-part series “Swa Se Samagra Tak”, presented by Kangana Ranaut and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, traces Modi’s journey from Vadnagar to the Red Fort.
Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju said the programmes reflect India’s march towards Viksit Bharat 2047, while Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi, Chairman Navneet Kumar Sehgal, and filmmaker Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi were also present.
The minister urged citizens to celebrate the spirit of service during Seva Parv, noting that he began the day with a blood donation.
