NeSDA Report: States/UTs Add 1,416 New e-Services in June, Reach 79% Saturation of Mandatory Services

New Delhi, July 21: India’s digital governance momentum continues to grow, with States and Union Territories adding 1,416 new e-services in June 2025 alone, pushing the total number of e-services across the country to 22,478, according to the 26th edition of the NeSDA – Way Forward Monthly Report released by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG).
As per the latest report, 79% of the 2,124 mandatory e-services (covering 59 essential public services across 36 States/UTs) are now online, with 1,677 services fully digitized. Notably, nine States—Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, and Himachal Pradesh—have achieved 100% saturation, while 11 States/UTs have surpassed the 90% threshold.
The report showcases several best practices from across the country:
- Unified Portals Driving Inclusion:
States such as Assam (Sewa Setu – 813 services), Jammu & Kashmir (e-UNNAT – 1,164 services), Karnataka (Seva Sindhu – 2,089 services), Kerala (e-Sevanam – 939 services), Odisha (Odisha One – 404 services), and Uttarakhand (Apuni Sarkar – 936 services) have successfully delivered all their e-services through a single unified portal. - Innovative Governance Models:
The SWAAGAT portal of Tripura has been recognized as a model for efficient service delivery, offering features like real-time tracking, online verification, transparent inspections, and responsive citizen support across 54 services. - Urban Transformation Through Digital Platforms:
City-level platforms like the Surat City Portal, which integrates tax payments, urban planning, and bookings, and the Shimla City Portal, focused on transparent municipal services and citizen charters, were highlighted for enhancing civic engagement and accountability. - North-Eastern and Hilly States Performance:
The report also included findings from the AAKLAN assessment tool, evaluating progress in service delivery for Northeastern and hilly regions.
These achievements reflect the growing digital maturity and administrative responsiveness in India’s public service delivery systems. The NeSDA (National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment) initiative continues to serve as a benchmark for promoting transparency, accessibility, and citizen-centric governance across the nation.
