Pune: Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the limited-edition GLE and GLS ‘Night Edition’ SUVs in India, featuring exclusive styling, premium interior upgrades and bespoke design elements targeted at luxury SUV buyers seeking personalization and exclusivity.
The company said India has emerged as one of Mercedes-Benz’s top global markets for the GLE and GLS SUVs, reinforcing the strong demand for luxury SUVs in the country.
The Night Edition series is available in two exterior colour options — Alpine Grey and Obsidian Black — with Alpine Grey being exclusive to the Night Edition lineup and unavailable on standard GLE and GLS variants.
According to Mercedes-Benz India, the Night Edition models feature blacked-out exterior styling, black Nappa leather upholstery, Anthracite open-pore oak wooden trim and Head-Up Display (HUD) as standard equipment.
The GLE Night Edition additionally receives AIRMATIC suspension as a refinement over the standard GLE model.
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said the launch reflects the company’s strategy of enhancing product desirability through exclusive editions and curated luxury experiences.
“The introduction of the Night Edition with bespoke design, curated interiors, exclusive appointments and a sharper focus on personalization makes the SUVs highly exclusive and unmatched in appeal,” he said.
Mercedes-Benz stated that the Night Edition models are part of a limited global series and will be available in restricted volumes in India.
The company has priced the Night Edition GLS 450 at ₹1.41 crore and the GLS 450d at ₹1.43 crore (ex-showroom, all-India). The GLE 300d Night Edition is priced at ₹1.05 crore, while the GLE 450 Night Edition costs ₹1.14 crore.
The technical specifications include 9G-TRONIC transmission across all variants, with engine options ranging from four-cylinder diesel to inline six-cylinder petrol and diesel configurations. The GLS 450d produces 750 Nm torque, while the GLE 450 delivers 280 kW power output.
Mercedes-Benz said the launch further strengthens its position in India’s top-end luxury SUV segment as customer demand for premium and personalized vehicles continues to grow.
