Mumbai, September 24: Zydus Lifesciences Ltd., a global innovation-led healthcare company, has partnered with Pinkathon, India’s biggest women’s run, to raise awareness on breast cancer and women’s health across the country. The collaboration marks the launch of the Zydus Pinkathon initiative, part of Zydus’ “Easiest Exam” campaign, which highlights how a simple three-minute self-breast exam every month can help save lives through early detection.
As part of the campaign, Zydus Pinkathon will travel across six major cities during 2025–26, engaging more than 30,000 women. The journey begins with the landmark 10th edition of the Mumbai Pinkathon on December 21, 2025, at MMRDA Grounds, BKC, followed by runs in Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Chennai.
The event was unveiled by Dr Sharvil Patel, Managing Director of Zydus Lifesciences; Meha Patel, Vice-Chairperson of Zydus Foundation; actor and fitness icon Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon; and Ankita Konwar, Founder of Invincible Women. They emphasized the campaign’s mission of encouraging women to prioritize health, particularly through regular self-breast exams as a vital step in early detection.
Dr. Sharvil Patel said that the Easiest Exam campaign empowers women with the knowledge that a three-minute monthly self-check can make a life-saving difference. Milind Soman added that Pinkathon’s mission has always been to encourage women to take charge of their health and fitness, and that joining hands with Zydus will expand this message nationwide.
Meha Patel stressed that women’s health is at the core of family wellbeing, noting that the campaign aligns with the message, Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivaar. The initiative will not only spread awareness but also attempt to arrest the alarming rise of breast cancer cases in India, where over 200,000 women are diagnosed every year.
The 2025–26 season of Zydus Pinkathon will feature multiple race categories from 3 km to 100 km, including ultra-distances and relays under the Invincible Women initiative, promoting inclusivity and participation across all fitness levels.
The second edition of the Easiest Exam campaign will officially launch in October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with a series of awareness drives, podcasts, expert dialogues, and engagement with cancer survivors. Through these efforts, Zydus aims to dispel myths, fight stigma, and amplify stories of resilience and hope, making women’s health a national priority.
