Mumbai: Kalyan Jewellers has returned to the Cannes Film Festival for its third appearance, unveiling a bespoke high-jewellery creation designed for brand ambassador Kalyani Priyadarshan on the red carpet.
The jewellery brand said the latest showcase at Cannes highlighted a fusion of couture fashion and high-jewellery craftsmanship, with the custom-designed piece inspired by the glamour and geometric aesthetics of the Art Deco era.
The centrepiece of the look was a reimagined lariat styled dramatically along the back, extending into cascading sculptural strands integrated into the gown to create what the company described as a “single, fluid silhouette.”
At the heart of the jewellery creation is a 52-carat pear-shaped blue sapphire accented by 15 carats of round pink morganites and 945 natural diamonds featuring marquise, brilliant and princess cuts set in 14k white gold.
According to the company, the piece was crafted over a period of 40 days by its high-jewellery atelier. The ensemble was complemented with matching statement rings and earrings designed to complete the red-carpet presentation.
The appearance marks Kalyan Jewellers’ return to the Cannes red carpet after a brief hiatus and reflects the growing visibility of Indian luxury jewellery brands at global fashion and entertainment events.
