EaseMyTrip partners with Jharkhand govt to digitally promote state’s tourism
MoU aims to boost domestic travel through targeted campaigns, influencer-led storytelling and technology-driven destination marketing

NEW DELHI: Online travel-tech platform EaseMyTrip has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand, to digitally promote the state’s tourism offerings and strengthen its visibility among travellers across India. The partnership will leverage EaseMyTrip’s nationwide customer base, digital ecosystem and technology capabilities to showcase Jharkhand as a premier domestic tourism destination.
The agreement was signed during the Jharkhand Tourism Stakeholders’ Summit held in New Delhi in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Tourism, Art, Culture and Sports Minister Sudivya Kumar. The MoU was formally signed by Mukesh Kumar, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand, and representatives of EaseMyTrip.
Promoting Spiritual, Nature and Cultural Tourism
Under the collaboration, EaseMyTrip will utilise its dedicated domestic and spiritual tourism platform, EasyDarshan, along with its digital marketing capabilities, to promote Jharkhand’s diverse tourism attractions.
The campaign will showcase destinations including Shri Baidyanath Dham, waterfalls, forests, eco-tourism sites, agri-tourism initiatives and the state’s rich cultural heritage, helping position Jharkhand before millions of domestic travellers.
Influencer-Led Digital Campaigns
As part of the initiative, EaseMyTrip will launch a curated content campaign featuring solo travellers or influencers exploring various destinations across Jharkhand.
The digital storytelling initiative will highlight the state’s:
- Adventure tourism
- Waterfalls and lakes
- Forest landscapes
- Tribal culture
- Coal mining heritage
- Rolling hills and natural beauty
The company will also create banners, promotional videos, destination content and app-based marketing campaigns to improve traveller engagement and bookings. Annual and quarterly promotional calendars will be prepared jointly with the state government to ensure sustained visibility.
Government Eyes Greater Tourism Visibility
Commenting on the partnership, Mukesh Kumar, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Government of Jharkhand, said the collaboration aligns with the state’s efforts to position Jharkhand as a preferred tourism destination through stronger digital outreach.
He noted that EaseMyTrip’s technology platform and extensive travel ecosystem would help connect the state with a larger audience while showcasing its spiritual, natural and cultural diversity.
Riding India’s Domestic Tourism Boom
Rikant Pittie, CEO & Co-Founder, EaseMyTrip, said domestic tourism in India continues to gain momentum as travellers increasingly seek authentic and diverse experiences.
He said the company would create targeted campaigns highlighting Jharkhand’s spiritual, cultural and nature-based attractions while supporting the state’s efforts to improve destination visibility and inspire more travellers to explore the region.
