Indian Navy Quiz – THINQ 2025 Moves to Zonal Selections
Open to students of Classes 9 to 12, the quiz tested awareness, reasoning, and general knowledge across diverse subjects, including science, technology, history, and maritime affairs.
New Delhi, October 8: The Indian Navy Quiz – THINQ 2025 has completed its elimination rounds, with 166 school teams from across the country qualifying for the zonal selections scheduled on October 13 and 14, 2025. The semi-finals and grand finale will take place at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, in early November.
Organised under the aegis of the Headquarters, Southern Naval Command (HQSNC), the national-level quiz is one of the Navy’s flagship outreach initiatives aimed at fostering curiosity, maritime awareness, and intellectual engagement among India’s youth.
The competition began with the Elimination Round–I on September 8, drawing enthusiastic participation from schools nationwide. Open to students of Classes 9 to 12, the quiz tested awareness, reasoning, and general knowledge across diverse subjects, including science, technology, history, and maritime affairs.
Over three weeks of elimination rounds, the top-performing schools emerged from a highly competitive field and will now compete in the Zonal Selections, which will be held in a proctored online mode.
THINQ — short for The Indian Navy Quiz — has evolved into a premier knowledge platform, combining the excitement of quizzing with lessons in teamwork, leadership, and discipline. It also serves as a medium to enhance maritime consciousness among students and spark interest in India’s naval legacy and oceanic frontiers.
“The quiz is designed not just to test knowledge but to inspire excellence and encourage young Indians to think critically about the world around them,” an official statement said.
The Navy’s sustained engagement with educational institutions through THINQ reflects its broader commitment to youth outreach and nation-building, motivating students to pursue innovation, leadership, and service.
The upcoming Zonal Selections will determine the teams advancing to the final rounds at the Indian Naval Academy, where the country’s best young quizzers will compete for the coveted title of THINQ 2025 Champions.
