Tembo Global Subsidiary Signs NDA with Defence PSU to Explore Manufacturing Collaboration
The agreement will allow both sides to evaluate opportunities in the design, development and production of defence-related engineering products.

Mumbai: Tembo Global Industries said its subsidiary, Tembo Classic Engineering, has signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with a defence public sector undertaking to explore collaboration in engineering and manufacturing.
The agreement will allow both sides to evaluate opportunities in the design, development and production of defence-related engineering products.
The company said the engagement is at an early stage. It will involve technical discussions and exchange of information. No binding business agreement has been signed yet.
Focus on Defence and Indigenisation
The move supports India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat programme.
Tembo said the collaboration could help it expand its presence in the defence and engineering sectors, which are seeing strong growth.
Managing Director of Tembo Global Industries Sanjay J. Patel said the NDA is a step towards contributing to India’s indigenisation efforts in defence. He added that the company will explore opportunities in engineering-led defence solutions.
Diversifying Business Portfolio
Tembo Global Industries operates in metal components, pipe support systems, fasteners, HVAC systems and industrial equipment.
The company entered the EPC segment in 2023 and has taken up infrastructure projects. It has also expanded into defence manufacturing and solar power in 2024.
Early-Stage Engagement
The company clarified that the NDA does not guarantee a partnership or commercial deal.
Any future agreement will depend on the outcome of ongoing discussions and technical evaluations.
