NEW DELHI: Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh launched the revamped websites of the Ministry of Defence and Department of Defence on Monday, providing access to official information in 22 Indian languages.

According to a Defence Ministry statement, the platforms comply with the Digital Brand Identity Manual 3.0 and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites 3.0.

The websites provide information on defence policies, initiatives, activities and notifications, alongside updates and resources for citizens and other stakeholders.

The ministry said the multilingual content would expand outreach and improve accessibility. The redesign is intended to support easier access to government information through a secure, user-friendly digital platform.

The initiative forms part of the government’s Digital India and e-governance efforts to improve transparency and public access to information.
