Media registration opens for SEMICON India 2026
The fifth edition of SEMICON India will bring together global semiconductor companies, policymakers, investors, researchers and startups in New Delhi from September 17 to 19.
The event, organised jointly by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and SEMI, will be held under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”.
NEW DELHI: Media registration has opened for SEMICON India 2026, the fifth edition of India’s flagship semiconductor conference and exhibition, scheduled to be held from September 17 to 19 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.
The event, organised jointly by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and SEMI, will be held under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”.
Media personnel seeking accreditation can register through the official SEMICON India registration portal by selecting “Visitors” on the “Register Now” page and choosing “Media” as their category after logging in. Applicants can also indicate their interest in attending the inaugural event on September 17, although attendance will be subject to confirmation based on availability.
The three-day event is expected to bring together stakeholders from across the global semiconductor and electronics ecosystem, including industry leaders, investors, policymakers, academia, startups and students. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the event on September 17.
SEMICON India 2026 will feature sessions covering semiconductor manufacturing and technology, AI and digital transformation, supply chains, chemicals and materials, policy and government programmes, sustainability and ESG, chip design, startups and innovation, and talent and skilling.
The programme will also include six international country roundtables, leadership and strategic forums, a dedicated session on women’s empowerment and leadership, and a workforce development session.
The exhibition is expected to feature more than 500 exhibitors, including over 240 international companies, with more than 150 speakers and delegations from over 40 countries. The event will have more than 15,000 square metres of exhibition space, six country pavilions and 10 state government pavilions, besides a Startup Pavilion and Innovation Showcase, startup pitch competition, student hackathon and Workforce Development Pavilion.
The event comes as India accelerates efforts to build a domestic semiconductor ecosystem under the India Semiconductor Mission. The government has said 12 projects have been approved under Semicon 1.0, with three already having commenced commercial production, while Semicon 2.0 has been approved as the next phase of the programme.
