Cloudangles opens Hyderabad engineering centre, plans to scale to 1000 engineers
US-based deep-tech firm Cloudangles has opened a Global Engineering Centre in Hyderabad and plans to scale it to 1,000 engineers over the next two years.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad is set to gain another major technology and engineering hub with the opening of Cloudangles’ Global Engineering Centre, which the California-headquartered company plans to scale to 1,000 engineers over the next two years.
The IP-driven deep-tech and enterprise technology company said the new centre will serve as a platform for co-building advanced technology and engineering capabilities with its international enterprise clients. The move further strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a base for developing high-value technology capabilities for global markets.
The centre will support a wide range of capabilities, including digital and technology, application development and engineering, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, automation, digital productivity and innovation, corporate systems and other specialist functions.
As operations scale up, Cloudangles expects to expand into product engineering, advanced analytics, intelligent automation, cloud and emerging technologies. The centre builds on the company’s GCC-as-a-Service and Value Centre models, which are aimed at helping enterprises move beyond conventional technology delivery towards dedicated engineering, innovation and technology capabilities.
The facility was inaugurated by Telangana Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs D. Sridhar Babu, along with Cloudangles CEO N. Revathipathi and other senior company leaders. Sai Krishna, IT Advisor to the Government of Telangana, was also present.
Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had established itself as one of the preferred destinations for global capability centres and that the next priority was to deepen the talent and capabilities that make the city attractive to global businesses.
The minister described talent as infrastructure and said investments such as Cloudangles’ Global Engineering Centre would strengthen that infrastructure by creating high-value engineering jobs, developing specialised skills and giving local talent opportunities to work on complex global technology challenges.
Cloudangles is positioning its co-build model as an alternative to the conventional technology services and delivery approach. Under the model, the company combines its engineering and deep-tech capabilities with the domain expertise and strategic priorities of clients to design, build and scale dedicated technology capabilities aligned with their global operating models.
Revathipathi said the Hyderabad centre represented an important milestone as Cloudangles strengthens its global engineering capabilities.
“Hyderabad will play an important role as we build this model for global markets,” he said, adding that the company would bring together its deep-tech expertise, engineering talent and global client relationships to build capabilities for businesses worldwide.
The company is also using a Build-Operate-Transfer approach that enables enterprises to establish dedicated technology and engineering centres, scale teams and capabilities and progressively assume greater ownership of their technology organisations and intellectual capital.
Under this model, the Hyderabad facility is expected to function not only as an engineering and technology base for Cloudangles’ global clients but also as a platform for long-term co-innovation. The company said clients would be able to develop capabilities in areas including AI, advanced analytics, automation, digital engineering and product development.
Cloudangles’ expansion adds another deep-tech dimension to Hyderabad’s growing global capability centre ecosystem. The company’s capabilities span AI, cloud, data, software engineering, automation and quantum computing.
According to the company, Hyderabad is now home to more than 470 GCCs across a diverse range of sectors, reflecting the city’s growing appeal among global businesses seeking locations for high-value technology, engineering and innovation activities.
The expansion comes as Hyderabad increasingly competes for a larger share of global engineering, product development and innovation mandates. Cloudangles’ planned 1,000-member engineering workforce adds to the city’s growing pool of specialised technology talent while bringing global client-facing engineering work into the local ecosystem.
