New Delhi, July 25: TRAI’s latest network quality assessments in Hisar (Haryana) and Meerut and high-speed corridors of UP (West LSA) reveal a clear hierarchy among telecom operators across voice and data service metrics. The findings underscore consistent superiority of Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi), while BSNL continues facing performance gaps.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on Thursday released findings from Independent Drive Tests (IDTs) conducted in Hisar city, Haryana, between June 11 and 13, 2025. These tests evaluated mobile network performance across urban zones, public transport hubs, and hotspots.

Scope of Testing

  • Covered 243.4 km by vehicle and 1.1 km on foot
  • Simulated live calls and data sessions using 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G networks
  • Included all telecom operators in the region
