Tembo Global Industries Commissions New Vasai Facility, Expands Capacity and Growth Ambitions
Spread across more than 120,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art Vasai facility represents a capital investment of ₹75 crore and significantly enhances Tembo’s manufacturing footprint.
Mumbai: Tembo Global Industries Limited has commenced commercial production at its newly established manufacturing facility in Vasai, marking a major milestone in the company’s expansion strategy and reinforcing its ambitions for long-term growth across industrial and infrastructure markets.
Spread across more than 120,000 square feet, the state-of-the-art Vasai facility represents a capital investment of ₹75 crore and significantly enhances Tembo’s manufacturing footprint. With the commissioning of this plant, the company’s total installed capacity is set to increase to around 100,000 metric tonnes, to be expanded in phases over the next two to three years.
The expansion is expected to materially strengthen Tembo’s ability to meet rising demand across its core product segments while also supporting portfolio diversification. According to the company, the Vasai facility has the potential to generate peak annual revenue of up to ₹700 crore within two to three years as operations scale up.
Strengthening Manufacturing Scale and Market Position
The new facility is central to Tembo’s strategy of combining scale with operational efficiency. By adding significant capacity and modern manufacturing infrastructure, the company aims to improve throughput, achieve economies of scale, and enhance its competitive positioning in domestic and export markets.
Commenting on the commissioning, Managing Director Sanjay J. Patel said the facility reflects Tembo’s long-term commitment to sustainable value creation.
“We are excited to announce a significant milestone with the commencement of commercial production at our new Vasai facility. The added installed capacity reflects our long-term commitment to innovation, efficiency, and value creation,” Patel said. “The strategic location, combined with our enhanced scale and in-house R&D capabilities, will allow us to deliver superior products while achieving economies of scale. This expansion strengthens our market positioning and lays a robust foundation for sustained growth in the coming years.”
R&D-Led Product Innovation
A key differentiator of the Vasai facility is its in-house research and development centre, which has been designed to support continuous product innovation across Tembo’s entire range. The company believes this will enable it to respond faster to evolving customer requirements, industry standards, and application-specific demands across sectors.
By embedding R&D within its manufacturing ecosystem, Tembo aims to accelerate product development cycles, improve customization capabilities, and stay ahead of industry trends, particularly in areas requiring certified, precision-engineered components.
Logistical Advantages and Operational Efficiency
Located in Vasai, the facility offers strategic logistical benefits, including improved access to raw material suppliers and more efficient distribution of finished goods. Reduced transit times and optimized logistics are expected to contribute meaningfully to cost competitiveness and overall operational efficiency.
These advantages are particularly relevant as Tembo continues to expand its presence across infrastructure, industrial, commercial, utility, and OEM installations, where timely delivery and reliability are critical.
A Diversified Industrial Platform
Founded in 2010, Tembo Global Industries has built a diversified industrial platform spanning the production and assembly of metal components for pipe support systems, fasteners, anchors, HVAC systems, anti-vibration solutions, and specialized equipment for a wide range of applications. The company is also active in fabrication and installation of ductile iron pipes, HDPE pipes and fittings, and MS plates.
Tembo’s products are certified by Underwriters Laboratory (USA) and FM Approval (USA) for fire sprinkler system installations, underscoring its compliance with global quality and safety standards.
In recent years, the company has expanded beyond manufacturing into engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracting, securing orders from major infrastructure clients. It has also diversified into defence manufacturing and solar power, while maintaining interests in textile trading.
Looking Ahead
With the Vasai facility now operational, Tembo Global Industries enters a new phase of growth defined by higher capacity, broader capabilities, and stronger integration of manufacturing and innovation. As the company ramps up utilization over the coming years, the expansion is expected to play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, enhancing resilience, and supporting Tembo’s long-term vision in India’s evolving industrial and infrastructure landscape.
