Mumbai: Securonix, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, has introduced Sam, the AI SOC Analyst, along with the Securonix Agentic Mesh, unveiling what it calls the industry’s first productivity-based AI operating model for security operations centres (SOCs).
The company said the new model is designed to address mounting alert volumes, analyst shortages and rising SIEM costs by shifting the focus from AI feature consumption to measurable analyst work delivered.
Sam functions as a governed, always-on digital teammate that automates Tier 1 and Tier 2 SOC tasks, including alert triage, investigation, correlation and response preparation. Operating natively within the Securonix Unified Defense SIEM, Sam coordinates specialised AI agents through the Agentic Mesh while ensuring human analysts retain oversight through built-in human-in-the-loop controls.
Unlike conventional AI copilots, Agentic Mesh is structured as a “system of work” that maintains shared operational context, enforces enterprise policies and ensures AI-assisted actions remain explainable, auditable and reversible. Built using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, it operates within the customer’s environment to provide enterprise-grade isolation and resiliency.
Securonix said the innovation introduces a new “unit of value” in SOC operations by licensing AI based on verified analyst-equivalent productivity rather than data consumption. The model enables organisations to quantify analyst hours saved and operational throughput gained, providing predictable economics and board-ready ROI metrics.
Supporting the framework is Data Pipeline Manager with Flex Consumption (DPM Flex), an outcome-driven approach to SIEM data economics. The company said DPM Flex routes telemetry based on analytical value instead of raw data volume, helping customers control costs as environments scale.
At HDFC Bank, Securonix’s agentic AI capabilities are being deployed while maintaining regulatory oversight. Sameer Ratolikar, chief information security officer at HDFC Bank, said AI agents are helping reduce noise, accelerate investigations through natural-language search and prepare response actions while keeping analysts in control.
Simon Hunt, chief product officer at Securonix, said the company built Sam and Agentic Mesh to help CISOs manage unscalable workloads and demonstrate AI value under board and regulatory scrutiny.
Sam, Agentic Mesh and DPM Flex are now available for Securonix customers worldwide.
