Amravati, August 11: LTIMindtree, along with parent company Larsen & Toubro (L&T), has joined forces with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, IBM, and other industry partners to develop Amravati Quantum Valley, India’s first dedicated quantum technology hub. The move positions LTIMindtree and L&T as key technology and infrastructure partners in building a world-class innovation ecosystem.

The LTIMindtree Quantum Centre of Excellence (CoE) will focus on deep tech research, quantum incubation, and translating scientific advances into industrial and societal applications. L&T will lead the design, development, and management of the hub’s infrastructure, drawing on its large-scale engineering expertise.

A highlight of the project will be the Quantum Computing Centre, set to host an IBM Quantum System Two — expected to be India’s largest quantum computer. L&T is collaborating with IBM to address complex infrastructure requirements for housing such advanced systems.

“Advanced computing is redefining innovation. Through our Quantum Centre of Excellence, LTIMindtree is driving deep tech research and incubation—translating fundamental science into industrial and societal impact,” said Venu Lambu, CEO and MD, LTIMindtree. “We are proud to take this journey forward in alignment with the Amaravati Quantum Valley and the overall National Quantum Mission.”

The Amaravati Quantum Valley will feature:

  • State-of-the-art R&D facilities for quantum and classical computing.
  • Collaborative workspaces for academia, startups, industry, and government.
  • Flexible office spaces for enterprises and research teams.
  • Event zones for conferences, hackathons, workshops, and public outreach.

Designed as a vibrant hub for cross-sector collaboration, the Quantum Valley aims to position India as a global leader in quantum technology, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and international partnerships.
