Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, August 22: The Shendra-Bidkin Industrial Area, branded as AURIC, has cleared fresh land allotments for companies across sectors including specialty food ingredients, electronics manufacturing, road construction equipment, alloy casting and paper products. The approved projects, sanctioned during a recent Land Allotment Committee meeting, represent investments of over ₹200 crore and are expected to generate nearly 1,000 jobs, the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry said in a statement on Friday.

AURIC, India’s first integrated Greenfield Smart Industrial City developed under the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), is being managed by Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL), a joint venture between NICDC and MIDC.

Big Ticket Investments
Among the approvals, Science for Society Techno Services Pvt Ltd has been allotted a 37,388 sq.m. plot in Sector 12 with “Mega Project” status. The company plans to set up a specialty food ingredient plant worth ₹104 crore, creating more than 325 jobs. The facility will feature a zero-discharge system to minimise environmental impact.

In the electronics sector, Lonbest India Pvt Ltd has been allotted a 37,388.70 sq.m. plot in Sector 12 for a proposed electronics manufacturing system, including chipsets and PCBs, with an investment of ₹110 crore. The project, also granted Mega Project status, is expected to generate around 500 jobs.

Expansion Projects
Su-Tantra Paper Products Pvt. Ltd., which already operates in Shendra, has been allotted an additional 370.79 sq.m. plot for expansion of its paper products unit. Alankar Engineering Equipments Pvt. Ltd., engaged in road construction machinery, received a 7,378 sq.m. plot in Sector 5 with a planned ₹17.50 crore investment, adding to its earlier 8,200 sq.m. allotment from July 2022.

Varad Alloy Casting, another expansion project, has been allotted a 6,057 sq.m. plot to set up a new foundry for aluminium and die casting.

Government Push
The approvals come as part of the government’s continued efforts to attract industry to the region. Recent visits by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and DPIIT Secretary Amardeep Singh Bhatia focused on strengthening the policy framework and boosting investor confidence.
