PUNE: iLink Digital presented approaches to connecting enterprise data, business context and governance with AI systems at FabCon Europe 2026, focusing on how organisations can move from analytics reporting to AI-assisted decisions and workflows.

The company outlined its participation in an October 19 statement following the Microsoft Fabric and SQL community conference, held in Barcelona from September 28 to October 1.

Technical sessions examined how Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic models – which capture business definitions, relationships and calculations – can provide context for AI applications.

In a session titled “From Foundry to Forecast”, Sowjanya Bobbadi and Subbu Muthukrishnan demonstrated an agent converting a business question into a forecast update within Microsoft Fabric while retaining existing governance and approval processes, the company said.

Christopher Schmidt, iLink Digital’s Vice President of Solution Engineering and Innovation, discussed preparing semantic models for AI and using governed data foundations to support more reliable responses. The session also examined changes organisations may need before introducing AI agents into business workflows.

Marvell Technology’s Head of Data Office, Srikanth Thiagarajan, joined a separate discussion on developing an enterprise knowledge layer. It explored how shared business context can help employees and AI agents interpret data and make informed decisions.

iLink Digital Co-founder and Group CEO Sree Balaji said customer discussions highlighted the importance of the data, definitions and governance underpinning enterprise AI.

Chief Growth Officer Sakthi Kannan said organisations were seeking to build on existing analytics investments while assessing AI readiness and strengthening their data governance.

The company participated as a Diamond Sponsor of the conference.
