Expanding a Successful Global Model
Organizers said WETA has earned recognition in the United States through programs focused on women’s development, professional networking, mentorship and leadership enhancement.
With the launch of its India chapter, the organization plans to extend similar initiatives to women across urban and rural communities, helping them build confidence, expand professional networks and access opportunities for personal and professional growth.
According to the organizers, WETA India will focus on creating platforms that support women entrepreneurs, emerging leaders, professionals, students and social activists.
Large Participation from Women Leaders
The launch event attracted a large gathering of women from diverse backgrounds, including entrepreneurs, young professionals, social workers and community leaders from different regions.
Participants expressed optimism that the initiative would create new avenues for collaboration, mentorship and skill development while contributing to broader efforts aimed at advancing gender equality and women’s participation in leadership roles.
Organizers said WETA India intends to undertake a series of programs in the coming months focused on capacity building, networking, leadership development and social impact initiatives designed to empower women and strengthen communities.
With its expansion into India, WETA aims to build a bridge between global best practices in women’s leadership and local grassroots initiatives, creating opportunities for women to grow, lead and contribute meaningfully to society.
