New Delhi, August 27: The All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA) has announced the 9th edition of the TechnoXian World Cup, billed as the world’s largest robotics championship, to be held from August 30 to September 2, 2025, at the Noida Indoor Stadium, Sector 21A.

The event will be inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, underscoring India’s growing ambition to establish itself as a global hub for robotics, AI, and tech-sports.

Massive Global Participation

This year’s edition will see participation from 22,000+ innovators across 60 countries, including Brazil, South Korea, Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico, Vietnam, and Russia. National-level qualifiers were held in over 22 countries, with winning teams now set to represent their nations at the global finals in Noida.

Competitions and Showcases

The World Cup will feature 15 robotics and drone challenges such as Robo Soccer, Drone Racing, Bots Combat, RC Plane, Robo Hockey, Maze Solver, and AgriBot Challenge. Alongside, an Innovation Showcase will highlight 150+ student-led technology solutions, ranging from AI-powered healthcare tools to robotics for sustainable agriculture.

A special segment, TEDEX 2025, will spotlight EdTech, robotics, AI, AR/VR, and IoT solutions, providing live demos, global conferences, and networking opportunities for educators, startups, and policymakers.

Global Recognition

The finale will culminate in a Mega Award Ceremony, recognizing winners across categories and honoring educators and visionaries contributing to technology education. According to AICRA President Rajkumar Sharma, TechnoXian is “a movement merging technology and sports into a global phenomenon”, with India at its forefront.

Supported by the World Robotics Sports Organization (WORSO) and several governments, TechnoXian 9.0 reaffirms India’s growing stature in global innovation and tech-sports.
