Steel Ministry to Hold Open House on SIMS, QCOs, NOC-Related Import Issues

New Delhi, July 24 The Ministry of Steel has announced a two-day Open House on July 29-30 to address industry concerns related to Steel Import Monitoring System (SIMS), Quality Control Orders (QCOs), and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for steel imports.
The sessions will be held at the Steel Room, Udyog Bhavan, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on both days. Companies and industry associations interested in participating must pre-register by sending an email to tech-steel@nic.in to secure a confirmed time slot.
Due to space constraints, each association can be represented by a maximum of 15 participants, and walk-in entries will not be permitted.
Required Information for Participation:
Participants must include the following in their email:
- Name of Company/Association
- Subject of issue (SIMS/NOC/QCO/Others)
- Number of participants and their names
- Preferred date (29th or 30th July)
- Application reference (if applicable)
- Industry type and product category (e.g., Auto, Aerospace, Telecom, Defence)
- Brief description of issue (within 50 words)
- Contact details of a nodal person (mobile and email)
The Ministry encourages stakeholders with active or pending concerns in these regulatory areas to make use of this opportunity for direct dialogue. Specific time slots will be communicated via email after registration.
