PM to Inaugurate India AI Impact Expo 2026; Hails Summit as Reflection of Youth Power and Tech Rise
Spread across 10 arenas covering more than 70,000 square metres, the India AI Impact Expo 2026 will host over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations structured across three thematic chakras — People, Planet and Progress.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on Monday at 5 PM at Bharat Mandapam, marking a major milestone in India’s expanding artificial intelligence ecosystem.
The Expo, to be held from February 16 to 20 alongside the India AI Impact Summit, is positioned as a national demonstration of AI in action — where policy meets practice, innovation meets scale, and technology connects with everyday citizens.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister expressed pride over global participation in the Summit, stating that the gathering of leaders, innovators and experts from across the world reflects the immense potential of India’s youth and the country’s rising stature in science and technology. In a post on X, he described the event as proof of India’s rapid strides in the technology domain and its growing contribution to global development.
Invoking an ancient Sanskrit subhashitam, he wrote:
“दाने तपसि शौचं च विज्ञानं विनये नये।
विस्मयो न हि कर्तव्यो बहुरत्ना वसुन्धरा।।“
The verse conveys that generosity, discipline, purity, knowledge and humility are enduring virtues, and that excellence should not surprise us, for the earth is abundant with precious gems — a sentiment aligned with the spirit of innovation and youthful aspiration showcased at the Summit and Expo.

The Expo will feature more than 600 high-potential startups, many building globally relevant and population-scale AI solutions already deployed in real-world settings. The platform is expected to attract over 2.5 lakh visitors, including international delegates, creating significant opportunities for partnerships and business collaborations.
Thirteen country pavilions will showcase international cooperation in the AI ecosystem, including participation from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and Africa.
The event will bring together global technology firms, startups, academia, research institutions, Union Ministries, state governments and international partners. More than 500 sessions are scheduled, featuring over 3,250 speakers and panelists deliberating on AI’s transformative impact across sectors and charting future pathways to ensure inclusive and responsible AI for global citizens.
With the Summit and Expo running concurrently, India is positioning itself not merely as a participant but as a convening power in the global AI discourse — underlining the Prime Minister’s assertion that the country’s youth-driven innovation is shaping the next phase of technological advancement.
