MOIL Records Highest-Ever July Production in FY26, Defies Monsoon Disruptions

New Delhi, August 4: State-owned manganese mining company MOIL Ltd has reported its highest-ever July production in the current financial year, achieving a milestone of 1.45 lakh tonnes of manganese ore output in July 2025, a 12% increase over the same period last year, despite facing adverse weather conditions.
The company, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Steel, also posted strong performance metrics for the April–July 2025 period, with total production reaching 6.47 lakh tonnes, reflecting a 7.8% year-on-year growth.
MOIL’s sales during the first four months of FY26 stood at 5.01 lakh tonnes, marking a 10.7% increase over the corresponding period last year (CPLY). The company also reported a significant push in exploratory drilling, with 43,215 meters completed, showing an 11.4% rise year-on-year.
CMD Ajit Kumar Saxena congratulated the MOIL workforce for their resilience and dedication in maintaining high productivity despite heavy monsoon rains, which often disrupt mining operations. He commended the team for maintaining operational momentum and sustaining sales growth under challenging conditions.
The robust performance underscores MOIL’s strategic focus on capacity expansion, resource exploration, and operational efficiency, as it aims to consolidate its position as India’s leading manganese ore producer and support the steel sector’s raw material demands.
With this achievement, MOIL continues to play a crucial role in India’s industrial growth and mineral security, aligning with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision and the broader objectives of the National Steel Policy.
