Mahindra Tractor Sales Surge 50% in September, Driven by GST Cut and Early Festive Demand
For the financial year to date (April–September 2025), Mahindra sold 2,47,336 tractors domestically, marking a 20% rise over the previous year’s 2,06,236 units.
Mumbai, October 3: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB) reported robust tractor sales in September 2025, selling 64,946 units in the domestic market—a 50% increase compared to 43,201 units in the same month last year .
Total tractor sales, including exports, stood at 66,111 units, up 49% from 44,256 units in September 2024. Exports accounted for 1,165 units during the month, registering a 10% year-on-year growth .
Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, attributed the surge to the recent GST rate cut, which boosted customer demand during the initial days of Navratri, celebrated in September this year instead of October last year. “This has been further supported by a positive Kharif outlook, higher sowing area this season, and above-normal monsoon,” Nakra said .

Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, said the strong growth underscores rural demand resilience and the sector’s positive outlook heading into the festive season.
