Mumbai: India’s indigenous automotive major Mahindra & Mahindra Limited reported total auto sales of 99,969 vehicles in March 2026, registering a 21% year-on-year growth, driven by strong demand in its utility vehicle portfolio.

The company sold 60,272 SUVs in the domestic market during the month, marking a 25% increase, while total SUV sales, including exports, stood at 62,109 units. Domestic commercial vehicle sales reached 24,928 units, reflecting an 11% growth.

For the full financial year FY26, Mahindra recorded its highest-ever volumes, with 6,60,276 SUVs and 2,89,597 light commercial vehicles (LCVs under 3.5 tonnes), delivering year-on-year growth of 20% and 13%, respectively.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division, said the company ended the financial year on a strong note, achieving record volumes across both SUV and LCV segments, highlighting sustained momentum in demand and execution.

Among other segments, LCVs in the 2–3.5 tonne category grew 13% in March, while three-wheeler sales, including electric variants, surged 39% year-on-year. Exports for the month stood at 3,968 units.

Mahindra said the performance reflects continued strength in its core automotive segments, supported by a broad product portfolio and growing market demand.
