Scholarship to Support Underprivileged Students Pursuing Diploma Courses in Government Polytechnics

Hyderabad, August 22: The K.C. Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) has announced the opening of applications for the Mahindra All India Talent Scholarships (MAITS) 2025, aimed at enabling students from low-income families to pursue job-oriented diploma courses at recognized government polytechnic institutes across India.

Each year, 550 students are awarded a scholarship of ₹10,000 per annum, for a maximum of three years. To date, 12,940 students have benefitted from the scheme since its launch in 1995.

Applicants must have cleared SSC/HSC or equivalent examinations with over 60% marks and secured admission to the first year of a diploma course at a recognized polytechnic. Special preference will be given to girls, children from lower-income households, differently abled students, and children of armed forces or Central Armed Police Forces personnel.

The last date for students in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to apply is August 27, 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be informed of interview schedules in advance. Applications can be submitted online through kcmet.org or the dedicated portal maitsscholarship.kcmet.org .

Founded in 1953 by the late K.C. Mahindra, KCMET has provided over USD 152 million in scholarships, educational support, and livelihood training programmes, impacting more than 15.49 lakh students across India.
