IEPFA Launches ‘Saksham Niveshak’ Campaign to Help Investors Reclaim Unclaimed Dividends and Update KYC
100-day national drive to run till November 6, focusing on shareholder awareness and proactive company outreach
New Delhi, July 31: The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched a 100-day nationwide campaign titled “Saksham Niveshak”, aimed at assisting shareholders in reclaiming unclaimed dividends and updating their KYC and nomination details. The drive will run from July 28 to November 6, 2025.
Designed to empower shareholders and reduce the volume of unclaimed financial assets, the campaign urges companies to actively engage with their investors and facilitate the process of recovering unclaimed dividends. It also promotes timely KYC compliance to ensure that future dividend disbursals are made directly and seamlessly.
Key Goals of the Saksham Niveshak Campaign:
- Facilitate the resolution of unclaimed dividend cases currently lying with companies
- Promote KYC and nomination updates among shareholders
- Ensure direct dividend payouts to rightful investors
The IEPFA emphasized that timely action by shareholders will help prevent the transfer of unclaimed dividends and underlying shares to the Authority. The campaign complements ongoing IEPFA initiatives such as Niveshak Didi, Niveshak Panchayat, and Niveshak Shivir, which aim to enhance financial literacy and investor awareness across India.
