CVL Gets SEBI Nod to Establish Business Unit in GIFT City

Mumbai, August 14: CDSL Ventures Limited (CVL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) and the country’s first and largest KYC Registration Agency, has received a ‘No Objection’ from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to set up a separate business unit at the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in GIFT City, Gandhinagar.

The proposed unit will be registered with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) as a KYC Registration Agency. CVL currently maintains over 9.25 crore fully digitised KYC records, accessed by more than 2,700 intermediaries nationwide.

Beyond its core KRA services, CVL offers Aadhaar-based eKYC and eSign, Registrar & Share Transfer Agent services, GST Suvidha Provider solutions, accredited investor agency functions, and de-duplication of claims under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY).
