Young Civil Servants Are Architects of India’s 2047 Vision, Says Dr. Jitendra Singh at LBSNAA
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh addressing the 100th Foundation Course at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, telling the 2025 batch of civil service probationers that they are the “architects of 2047 India” who will shape the nation’s journey to becoming a developed country by its centenary of independence.
Mussoorie, September 1: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Sunday told the 2025 batch of civil service probationers that they were the “architects of 2047 India” and would play a decisive role in shaping the country’s journey to becoming a developed nation by its centenary of independence.
Addressing the 100th Foundation Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), the Minister said civil servants entering service today carried the responsibility of being custodians of the Constitution while ensuring governance remained citizen-centric. “You didn’t choose the timing of your birth, but you have been entrusted with this responsibility. Treat it as a providential privilege,” he told the trainees.
Duty Above All: Kartavyashila Auditorium
Dr. Singh inaugurated Kartavyashila, the Academy’s new 800-seater auditorium built at a cost of ₹50 crore, describing it as “a crucible of ideas, debates, and inspiration” for young officers across all services.
ODOP Display Hall for Grassroots Enterprise
He also launched the One District One Product (ODOP) Display Hall & Facilitation Centre, which will showcase local enterprise and link it with national markets. The initiative, he said, would sensitize trainees to the importance of grassroots livelihoods and inclusive development.
Training Innovations & Reforms
Highlighting experiential learning modules, Dr. Singh referred to the Himalayan Study Tour, village immersions, CAPF attachments, and the Aarambh 7.0 programme at Ekta Nagar, where trainees will interact with the Prime Minister and senior dignitaries. He reaffirmed the government’s Mission Karmayogi reforms to equip officers with continuous learning tools in a rapidly evolving governance environment.
Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047
The Minister oversaw the sealing of the 2024 batch’s vision statements in a time capsule, to be opened in 2047. He urged the young officers to embody humility, integrity, and moral courage while balancing constitutional duty, political realities, and citizen expectations.
“The civil servants entering today’s services are the custodians of India’s future,” Dr. Singh said, reminding the probationers that their decisions would directly influence the country’s trajectory towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
