Häfele Expands Lighting Footprint with New ‘Licht’ Experience Centre in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, September 2: Häfele has opened its third Licht Experience Centre in India, adding Ahmedabad to its network after Chandigarh and Indore, and positioning the city as a showcase for its architectural and furniture lighting solutions aimed at architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, contractors, and homeowners.

Inaugurated by Frank Schloeder, Managing Director, Häfele South Asia, alongside lighting designer Pranav Patel of Zion Design, the centre brings together the brand’s architectural lighting portfolio—downlights, spotlights, wall washers—and its Loox furniture lighting range. The Loox line emphasizes simplicity and flexibility and is backed—according to the company—by a 10-year guarantee, which Häfele bills as an industry first in India.

Häfele said the Ahmedabad facility advances a strategy it began in 2019, when it moved into ceiling cove and architectural lighting to address demand for high-quality, glare-controlled luminaires with plug-and-play assembly, customizable components, and multiple finishes. The company frames the range around “easiness” and “flexibility” to improve both design workflows and end-user experience.

“The launch brings world-class lighting solutions closer to professionals and homeowners,” Schloeder said, calling Ahmedabad “one of India’s most vibrant cities with a thriving design ecosystem.” Patel added that the centre is meant to demonstrate how lighting can “shape emotions and create experiences” that elevate interiors.

The new hub also offers Meister Services for installation quality, Lighting Design Services for bespoke schemes, and training via the Häfele Academy—a services stack the company says will support designers from specification to maintenance.
