Raipur, September 11: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office in Raipur on Wednesday released a list of major defaulting institutions across Chhattisgarh with dues amounting to more than ₹11.24 crore. The move comes as part of an intensified enforcement drive against employers failing to deposit workers’ provident fund contributions.

According to the list, BSR Super Speciality Hospitals Limited, Durg tops the defaulters with ₹6.01 crore outstanding. Other major defaulters include Ideac Inc Management Private Limited, Raipur (₹1.34 crore), Kirodimal Institute of Technology, Raigarh (₹1.01 crore), Pratibha Flocon Engineering Private Limited, Durg (₹38.18 lakh), Navbharat Fuse Company Private Limited, Raipur (₹34.85 lakh), DV Projects Limited, Raipur (₹33.92 lakh), Bhilai Builders Private Limited, Raipur (₹29.25 lakh), Asia Fabricators, Durg (₹25.71 lakh), and Canalite Facility Management Services Private Limited, Raigarh (₹17.38 lakh).

The EPFO has warned of stringent measures under the Provident Fund Act, including attachment of bank accounts, seizure of properties, and even arrest of employers, if necessary. Officials said that in 2025 alone, the Raipur office has already attached bank accounts of 65 institutions, recovering around ₹49 crore.

Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Jaywadan Ingle said enforcement teams have been deployed to intensify recovery efforts. “Strict orders have been issued for thorough investigation and enforcement. Under the leadership of Additional Central PF Commissioner Ranganath, this drive will continue vigorously,” he said.

The EPFO has appealed to defaulting institutions to clear their dues immediately to avoid legal action. It reiterated that delays or defaults in depositing employees’ provident fund contributions will not be tolerated and assured that recovery will be pursued under all circumstances.
