DPIIT signs MoU with Primus Partners to strengthen India’s startup ecosystem

New Delhi, October 23: The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Primus Partners Pvt Ltd to foster greater collaboration aimed at strengthening India’s startup and innovation ecosystem.

The partnership focuses on supporting early-stage and growth-stage product startups through structured capacity-building programmes, expert mentorship, market access initiatives, policy awareness campaigns, and technology integration facilitation.

Speaking at the signing, Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said the collaboration reaffirms DPIIT’s commitment to building an innovation-led economy driven by creativity, technology, and enterprise.

“India’s startup ecosystem stands at the cusp of global transformation. By strengthening linkages between policy, industry, and innovation, we aim to create pathways that empower startups to drive sustainable growth, job creation, and India’s emergence as a global innovation powerhouse,” he stated.

Davinder Sandhu, Co-Founder and Chairman of Primus Partners, said the partnership will facilitate structured engagement with the startup community through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and industry linkages, helping build a robust environment that supports entrepreneurship and innovation across sectors.

The MoU underscores DPIIT’s continued focus on industry-led engagement, advancing India’s vision of self-reliance, inclusive growth, and a globally competitive startup ecosystem under the Startup India initiative.
