Mumbai/London: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a multiyear, multimillion-euro transformation and managed services contract from Canada Life, one of the world’s leading life and pensions insurers, to modernise its IT infrastructure operations across Europe.

Under the agreement, TCS will deploy its artificial intelligence and digital capabilities to transform and manage Canada Life’s data centres, core infrastructure, end-user computing environment and software lifecycle management systems. The initiative is aimed at improving operational resilience, increasing automation and enhancing the user experience for customers.

The partnership combines TCS’ technology expertise with Canada Life’s operational knowledge to create a foundation for long-term technology modernisation. The programme is expected to deliver performance-driven and cost-effective IT services while helping the insurer accelerate its technology strategy and respond more effectively to evolving business requirements.

Caroline Dibbs, Chief Information & Transformation Officer, Europe at Canada Life, said the partnership marks the next phase of the company’s technology modernisation journey.

“It was important to choose a partner that understands our long-term vision and shares our commitment to people and innovation. TCS brings deep technical expertise, strong transformation capabilities and a collaborative approach that aligns well with our strategy,” she said.

Vinay Singhvi, Head, UK & Ireland, TCS, said the engagement reinforces the company’s leadership in AI-led transformation.

“We are delighted to be selected as the strategic partner for Canada Life’s technology modernisation journey across the UK and Europe. By leveraging our deep domain expertise, we will help Canada Life achieve greater operational efficiency, enhance resilience and create a more agile IT ecosystem to support long-term growth,” Singhvi said.

As part of the programme, TCS will expand its infrastructure services talent base across the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man and Germany, investing in training, certifications and career development opportunities.

The deal further strengthens TCS’ position in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector and supports its continued expansion in the UK and Ireland, a key market for the company’s high-value technology services.

TCS reported consolidated revenue of more than $30 billion for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, and continues to position itself as an AI-led technology services company serving clients across 56 countries.
