Hyderabad, November 28: L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL), in partnership with TUCKIT, has launched on-demand smart storage lockers across seven metro stations, expanding commuter-centric services and transforming stations into multi-utility hubs. The new facility, inaugurated at Uppal Metro Station, allows passengers to securely store helmets, luggage, backpacks, shopping bags and other personal items, enabling hands-free and hassle-free travel.
TUCKIT’s “Scan & Store” lockers are designed for frictionless use. Commuters can complete the process in under 30 seconds by scanning a QR code, selecting the locker size, and paying digitally for the preferred duration.
Speaking at the launch, KVB Reddy, MD & CEO of L&TMRHL, said the collaboration brings a “smart, safe and convenient storage solution” into metro stations and reflects L&TMRHL’s focus on building modern, passenger-friendly transit spaces. TUCKIT founder Rajesh Amarlal said the partnership makes secure, intuitive storage available at the exact points where urban commuters need it most.
Smart lockers are now operational at Miyapur, Ameerpet, Punjagutta, LB Nagar, Uppal, Parade Ground and Hi-Tech City. L&TMRHL said the initiative is part of its broader vision to create connected, technology-enabled and convenience-driven mobility infrastructure across Hyderabad Metro.
