Bengaluru, July 16: Bengaluru-based robotics and AI innovator CynLr presented its cutting-edge Object Intelligence (OI) technology at the United Nations AI for Good Global Summit 2025, joining an elite global cohort of scientists, technologists, and policymakers committed to harnessing AI for sustainable development.
At the summit, held from July 8-11 in Geneva, Switzerland, CynLr spotlightted its flagship visual robotics system CyRo, which enables robots to handle even unfamiliar objects without prior training—mirroring the intuitive learning behavior of human infants. This ability positions CyRo at the forefront of the shift toward Universal Factories, a model where decentralized, flexible micro-factories can be rapidly reprogrammed to manufacture a variety of products with minimal environmental impact.

This ability positions CyRo at the forefront of the shift toward Universal Factories, a model where decentralized, flexible micro-factories can be rapidly reprogrammed to manufacture a variety of products with minimal environmental impact.
“This is about empowering robots to function in the unpredictable, real world—just like humans do,” said Gokul N A, Founder of CynLr. “CyRo is designed to bridge the gap between perception and action in physical environments, where traditional AI often fails due to its dependence on fixed training data.”
The AI for Good Global Summit, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), is the UN’s premier platform for exploring the role of AI in addressing global challenges. This year’s event features luminaries such as Yoshua Bengio, Geoffrey Hinton, and Yann LeCun—widely regarded as the “Godfathers of Deep Learning”—alongside industry leaders including Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and Amazon CTO Werner Vogels.
CynLr’s participation follows its recognition as a 2025 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, honoring companies that are redefining industries through impactful innovation. CynLr’s object-intelligence-driven approach aims to transform manufacturing from rigid, resource-heavy assembly lines into lean, responsive, and sustainable micro-factory ecosystems.
The company, which recently opened its US center for business development, is also operational in Bangalore and Switzerland, with $15.2 million raised from investors including Pavestone Capital, Athera Venture Partners, Speciale Invest, and InfoEdge’s Redstart Labs.
CynLr’s mission is to build perception-driven robotics that enable automation of tasks traditionally considered unautomatable—such as screwing, part assembly, and de-packaging—without custom-built hardware. Its breakthrough, CyRo, underscores how robotics can scale sustainably across sectors by reducing material waste and production complexity.
